Several teachers worked at the Feiteiras School, including Clara Martiniana Ferreira and Olga da Ressurreição Martins Ferreira.
We would also mention Lucinda de Sousa Andrade, not in her capacity as a teacher at this school, but as the daughter of the previous owners of the property, Amélia Carolina de Sousa Andrade, and as a person who, along with its current owners, provided historical information regarding the property in 1999. We are eternally grateful for their collaboration.

We would add that Maria Lucinda de Sousa Andrade played an important role in the area of education in S. Vicente.
Maria Lucinda de Sousa Andrade was born in Sítio das Feiteiras on 10 th March 1903. She was always a lively, inquisitive, studious child. Having completed her primary education, she went to Funchal where she took the "Secondary School Course".
In the 1930’s she went to Lisbon, where she did her training at the João de Deus teacher training school, later returning to pursue her teaching career in Funchal.
She returned to São Vicente around 1943.
She died in 2000, at the age of ninety-seven.
